During a medication transition I experienced all consuming suicidal ideation to the point I felt powerless to not act on thoughts.

I dropped my kids off at Grandma’s house and called the suicide hotline. They told me to call an ambulance (something I wasn’t willing to do due to current financial situation: and gave me a local number to call. That number gave the same one solution response “call an ambulance”.

I am so thankful I had another number to call. Listen Line. The responder asked me clarifying questions about my situation and offered to call my husband, requesting that he transport me to the hospital. She conversed with me until he arrived home from work. I was admitted and sent to a hospital for a 4 night stay where I was able to gain stability with my medications and go home to work through an excellent IOP.
